What are your memories worth? I believe that looking back on your pictures 10, 20, 30, or even 50 years from now you should be instantly transported back in time, remembering all the feelings, sounds, aromas, wonderful moments and smile, laugh, or cry.
I am an observer of life first and foremost. I’m the one who loves to go to shopping malls, parks, theaters, out on the streets or anywhere else and sit back in the background to observe families, couples, children, animals and nature. I am always asking myself, what is this person’s story, this couple’s story, this family’s story and how can I capture it through my lens? I love learning about people from all walks of life and finding out what makes them unique.
I am quirky and goofy with an adventurous spirit. I usually march to the beat of my own drummer. What can I say, I’m the queen of cheesy sayings and very bad jokes. I am originally from North Carolina. My husband and I, along with my cat, recently moved to north central West Virginia for his job.
When I was a child, my father, my brother and I would hike in the woods quite often. I would constantly look down, afraid of losing my footing, but my father would always say “don’t look down, look up or you will miss everything.” I wholeheartedly believe that and I try to make sure that I keep my eyes open and looking up with my camera ready. I don’t want to miss a fleeting once in a lifetime moment.
I capture the beauty and wonder of the love that surrounds those God has brought together. I love to record moments in time that will be remembered for a lifetime. I use my lens to portray the raw emotions with a blend of photojournalism and traditional styles. My passion for photography, storytelling, and personal attention to detail will ensure that your memories are preserved.
I bring a fresh, no pre-conceived ideas attitude along with creativity and fun to each photo session.
